Inter-army Azan, Qiraat competition ends with prize giving ceremony

The concluding and prize giving ceremony of Inter-Army Azan and Qiraat Competition-2022 was held at Army Central Mosque in Dhaka Cantonment. At the closing ceremony, Commandant of National Defense College (NDC) Lieutenant General Md Akbar Hossain, SBP, SUP (Bar), AFWC, PSC, G +, PhD, was present as the Chief Guest and distributed prizes among the winners. Competitors of the three forces under the overall management of the Bangladesh Army participated in this competition. The army team wins’ championship and the navy team wins the runner’s up glory. In the Azan competition, Army’s Sergeant Riaz Uddin and in Qirrat Sergeant Anwar Hossain achieved first places.

Members of all ranks, including senior officers of the Army, Navy and Air Force, were present on the occasion. The competition started on 10 May 2022 with 15 participants in Azan and 15 in Qiraat. Assistant Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Mohammad Shafiul Azam, NUP, NDC, PSC was present as the chief guest at the inaugural function. Through this competition, it is hoped that the members of the three forces will develop a competitive spirit and strengthen their mutual friendship.
