The nation will never forget the sacrifice of the innocent citizens who lost their lives or were injured in July-August due to violence by the thugs and police forces of the autocratic and fascist Hasina government. We pray for the forgiveness of their souls and wish patience and peace to their families. In addition, we strongly demand that all those involved in the atrocities and killings of students and the public in the July uprising be brought to justice swiftly and impartially, and that fascist Hasina and her cronies and sponsors be brought to justice.

He said that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has announced a 31-point program after taking a comprehensive look at the people of the country. It is possible to turn Bangladesh into a modern and prosperous country with these 31 points. The BNP Vice Chairman said that if the BNP wins the people's vote and comes to power in the future, Bangladesh will be developed into a developed and prosperous modern country under the leadership of Tarique Rahman through the implementation of the 31 points.

Abdul Awal Mintu said that 'mob justice' is being done to create an unstable environment in the country. They must be identified quickly and brought under the law and punished. BNP does not believe in mob culture. At the event, Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Joint Convener M Kafil Uddin Ahmed said that the 31-point program announced by BNP has everything that is necessary for the development of a country. These 31 points are being discussed and reviewed not only in the country but also abroad.

He also said that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is working to save the country's economy from the way it was destroyed through looting during Sheikh Hasina's regime. The 31-point program is a reflection of that, which has already received a huge response from the people across the country.

The ordinary members of the e-CAB are aware of these conspiracies and are very angry. Investigations reveal that those who are trying to delay the elections are very unpopular and disliked by the ordinary members of the e-CAB. Investigation revealed that the list of those involved in the conspiracy includes sensational names. One of them is Biplob Ghosh Rahul, who is currently the 2025 Secretary General of the “Entrepreneur Club of Bangladesh (E-Club)” and was the Director of BASIS during the dictatorship. He is one of the top accused in the case filed in connection with the student killings that took place during the 2024 ‘July Revolution’. The case is pending in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court, Dhaka (C.R. Case No.: 620/2024, Mohammadpur Administrative Court). The case has been framed under Sections 302/34 of the Penal Code, where the main accused include Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, Fazle Noor Taposh, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and other top leaders of the then dictatorship government. It is learnt that Biplob Ghosh Rahul is trying to postpone the elections so that he and his B-Team can prepare and participate in the elections during this period. Biplob Ghosh is another Awami League associate and beneficiary of Rahul, a controversial person named Sohel Mridha, who is the main face of this conspiracy. Awami League associate Sohel Mridha is a confidant and very close to former E-CAB president Shomi Kaiser and controversial joint secretary Nasima Akhter Nisha. Investigations have found that Sohel Mridha regularly campaigned for the development of the Awami League. According to sources, he is trying to obstruct the election process by lobbying, spreading false information on social media and sending fake letters. However, the reality is that Sohel Mridha does not have any active e-commerce business of his own. According to those close to him, he cannot even afford to buy nomination forms. Biplob Ghosh's associate and Entrepreneur's Club (E-Club) president Khairul Karim Antu (Antu Karim) is another controversial character. He was the cashier of former State Minister for Energy Bipu and a close associate of Bipu's wife. This Antu Karim is known as one of the beneficiaries of the autocratic government. He is the partner and associate of the warranted accused police officer ADC Nazmul Islam Sumon, against whom there are multiple allegations of torture, embezzlement, torture of women and blackmail. After this information came to light, the general members have become more worried.

Most of the members have raised questions on the issue of postponing or postponing the elections—those who have used e-CAB like their own property for years are now terrified of the vote. An e-CAB member who did not want to be named said, “On what basis are those who do not have their own business in e-commerce, seeking the leadership of e-CAB?” Another member joked about this— “How can someone who cannot even run his own business decide the future of e-commerce?” Another angry member said, "The conspirators and accomplices are repeatedly trying to postpone the elections to preserve their interests. Due to their filth, the e-CAB is now without a guardian." Another member said, "The e-CAB is lagging behind and becoming ineffective due to some vested interests. 15% VAT has been imposed on e-commerce in this budget. If the e-CAB members do not unite and throw mud, this sector and small entrepreneurs will be completely destroyed."

Another member, who did not want to be named, directly said, "If the e-CAB falls into the hands of these accomplices, murderers, murder case accused and criminals, then it will be akin to suicide for our digital sector." On the other hand, e-CAB administrator Sayeed Ali and members of the Election Commission want the elections to be completed on time. In this situation, conscious members are getting better organized. They say - e-CAB is not anyone's private property. This election must be held at the right time. They have said that they are ready to provide all cooperation to organize the elections at the right time.

He said, does anyone know the history of Martyr President Ziaur Rahman's family? His own younger brother, who was the youngest, passed away in 2017. Why don't you know his family history? Martyr President Ziaur Rahman did not do politics of self-interest. He did not do his family politics like the dictator Sheikh Hasina. He did not appoint relatives to various positions. He is the person who did not give any position in politics to anyone from his family during his three-year rule. He only did politics for the common people in these three years. He also said that everyone who was in power in this country thought about their own interests and their own issues. Only Martyr President Ziaur Rahman and Madam Khaleda Zia could not do politics for their own interests. Otherwise, Martyr President Ziaur Rahman could not have declared independence by mutiny in 1971. He was an army member. At that time, the cantonment was unsafe for his family. His family was inside the cantonment. After waiting for everything, he gave a speech of independence for the country and the common people, putting his family at stake. He liberated the country. 

Mustafa Zaman also said that if you want to catch a politician in this subcontinent who loves the country or loves the country more than life, then Martyr President Ziaur Rahman is the first. We are now afraid of little things. So read the history of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, the path will be much easier. It will give you courage. He said, BNP is getting a bad name because of two or three people. Organizational action will be taken against those who will try to make the Awami League a full vessel for extortion, terrorism and tyranny. For the last 17 years, we have not found a place with any relatives. Organizational action will also be taken against those who will make relatives and try to make the Awami League a full vessel. Through this program, various failures of the current government were highlighted and an attempt was made to increase awareness about the outline of state reform proposed by BNP. The leaders believe that these 31 points are a realistic and urgent plan for the future of Bangladesh. Leaders and activists of Dakshinkhan Police Station BNP, its affiliates and associate organizations were present at the time. A press release by the army said that a special operation was conducted from the Bhashantek army camp of the 86 Independent Signal Brigade of the Bangladesh Army from 2 am on Tuesday (May 20). During the operation around 5 am, the gang members tried to attack the patrol team. The army team fired warning blank shots to bring the situation under control. Later, they were arrested. The weapons and ammunition they had were seized at that time. 

The operation is ongoing based on the information received.

According to a press release issued by the Uttara Army Camp, the arrests were made based on confidential and specific information in a raid conducted by the Army's 6th Independent AD Brigade under the Uttara Army Camp on Sunday night. The three suspects were involved in eight criminal cases, including terrorism, land grabbing, drug trafficking, operating a youth gang, robbery, and extorting money from local businesses.

It was noted that Mohammad Shahidul Islam Khokon, a notorious criminal involved in various illegal activities, regularly led extortion efforts from the shops in the Khilkhet market area. The suspects had previously been arrested in special operations by the Uttara Army Camp: Khokon on September 24, 2025, and Abdur Rahim on April 22, 2025. However, both were released on bail.

Upon interrogation, the suspects admitted to their crimes and were handed over to Khilkhet Police Station for further legal proceedings.

According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman of Uttara West Police Station, Mahmud was apprehended during a late-night operation around 12:30 AM on Wednesday in the Bashundhara area of the capital. The raid was carried out under the leadership of Assistant Police Commissioner Saddam Hossain of the Uttara Zone.

Police sources state that Mahmud is accused in several cases involving the fatal shooting of participants in an anti-discrimination student movement. Authorities say the charges relate to serious allegations, including politically motivated violence and targeted killings.

OC Hafizur Rahman, who has gained a reputation locally for taking action against influential figures within the ruling party, confirmed the arrest and stated that further investigations are ongoing.

The routes of three international flights to Bangladesh have been changed considering the airspace unsafe due to the Pakistan-India war. Group Captain Kamrul Islam, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, gave this information in a statement on Wednesday.

In the statement, he said that the flights whose routes were changed were of Turkish Airlines, Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways. The Turkish Airlines flight from Turkey to Dhaka landed at Muscat International Airport in Oman, avoiding Pakistani airspace. One Jazeera Airways flight landed in Dubai and the other flight returned to Kuwait. He further said that after the route change, flights started arriving at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday morning. The situation is gradually returning to normal.

The main road in Dakshinkhan area was inaugurated on Wednesday afternoon by Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Mohammad Ejaz. While inaugurating the road, he said that a big master plan must be made to reduce public suffering in Dhaka 18 constituencies.

Small roads have been made, but three big roads of 30 feet should be made 100 feet. Otherwise, the public suffering in this region will not be reduced in any way.

He also said that in the future, when houses start here, if measures are not taken now, this region will be like Old Dhaka in the future. Therefore, initiatives have been taken to evaluate three roads in Uttarkhan and Dakshinkhan and approve them as 100 feet and 70 feet. DNCC also has a plan to build overbridges on railway roads.
