Family members and locals formed a human chain at Boro Naubhanga Village in Mohammadpur Upazila of the district on Friday, demanding probe into the recovery of 16 body parts of a railway worker Litu Biswas in Sreepur Upazila of Gazipur District by railway police recently. The family members of the deceased claimed that it was a preplanned murder.

Lipon Biswas, the deceased’s younger brother, said, “My brother Litu Biswas, a disabled man, had lost some railway goods a few days ago. His fellow workers Alamin, Boro Babu, Russell and Mostaq got into a heated argument over this. When contacted by us, his colleagues said that Litu fell from train and died. After receiving the news, I went to Sreepur in Gazipur and found out that the railway police had recovered the body and filed an unnatural death case. I came to Naubhanga with the body. Although I was told that he was crushed under train, I doubt how the body was severed into 16 pieces by train.”
