Meeting on dengue prevention held in Charghat

With the financial support of Emmaus International, France, and the overall support of Charghat Upazila Health Complex, a public awareness meeting under the MHO Project on preventing dengue and chikungunya diseases was held at Thanapara Swallows Development Society office in Charghat Upazila of the district on Monday at noon. Upazila Health Complex Family Planning Officer Dr. Ashikur Rahman was present as the chief guest in the meeting while Thanapara Swallows Development Society Executive Director Raihan Ali chaired it. Among others, Charghat Upazila Health Complex’s Dr. Ramzan Ali, Dr. Tahmina Nazneen Annie, Thanapara Swallows Development Society Director Mahmuda Begum Gini, mothers of students and staff were also present.
In the meeting, Dr. Ramzan Ali informed all those present about the origin of dengue and chikungunya diseases, their symptoms, and remedial measures. He requested all those present in the meeting to clean the courtyard of the house and remove the stagnant water to prevent dengue and chikungunya diseases.
