The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee wants to publish this year’s SSC and equivalent exam results this month. A proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Education to send a proposal to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to publish the results between July 25 and 27. If the Prime Minister approves, the result will be declared on that date.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and convener of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed this.
He said that “there is a talk to publish this year’s SSC and equivalent exams results between July 25 and 27”. For this, a proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Education from the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee. Now, the summary will be sent from the ministry to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). “The result will be declared on the date approved by the Prime Minister,” he said.
“SSC exams’ 60 days will be completed on July 30 – it is customary to publish results within two months. It will not be interrupted this time either,” said Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar.
As per tradition, the chairmen of the education board handed over the summary of the results of their respective boards to the Prime Minister on the morning of the day of releasing the results. For this, permission is sought from the Prime Minister. So it depends on the time given by the Prime Minister on which day the results will be published, Tapan Kumar Sarkar added.
It is learned that July 28 and 29 are Friday and Saturday. There is no example of revealing the results on the day of Jummah (Friday) prayers. But in the past, the results have been published on Saturday. In this situation, instead of July 30, a proposal has been sent to publish the results within 60 days (between July 25 and 27).
SSC and equivalent exams started on April 30 and ended on May 28. This time 20,72,163 candidates took part in the SSC examination under 9 General Education Boards and Madrasa and Technical Boards.
