Badda furniture warehouse fire brought under control

A fire that broke out at a furniture warehouse in the Satarakul area of Badda was brought under control after more than an hour of efforts by firefighters.

The fire was brought under control around 9:58am today, Fire Service and Civil Defence media officer Anwarul Islam confirmed. 

Fire Service received the report at 8:55am, and two units from Baridhara Fire Station reached the scene at 9:19am and joined the firefighting operation. 

Two units from Purbachal Fire Station were also dispatched but later returned as their assistance was no longer required.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage were not immediately known.
