Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secured a sweeping victory in all six parliamentary constituencies of Barishal district, according to results. District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Khairul Alam Sumon formally declared the results around 3:30 pm after receiving consolidated reports from all constituencies. In Barisal-1, BNP Chairperson's adviser Zahir Uddin Swapan, contesting with the party's electoral symbol "Sheaf of Paddy," won with 100,552 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md. Kamrul Islam Khan, secured 46,263 votes.

Reacting to his victory, Swapan said the mandate reflected the people's support for development, democracy and justice. He pledged to represent all constituents irrespective of political affiliation, with special focus on education and agriculture. In Barishal-2 (Banaripara-Uzirpur), Sardar Sarfuddin Ahmed Santu, a member of the BNP central executive committee, was elected with 141,622 votes. His closest competitor, Abdul Mannan, received 74,082 votes. Santu dedicated his victory to the people of the constituency and vowed to work toward building a developed and secure area by addressing terrorism, corruption and discrimination.

In Barishal-3 (Babuganj-Muladi), BNP Vice Chairman Advocate Zainul Abedin won the Barisal-3 seat with 80,930 votes. His nearest rival, Barrister Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan of the 11-party alliance, secured 61,192 votes. Abedin described his victory as a reflection of the people's expectations and promised to prioritize river erosion control, improved communication systems and employment generation. In Barisal-4 (Hijla-Mehendiganj), Md. Rajib Ahsan, central general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal, was elected with 128,322 votes, defeating Md. Abdul Jabbar, who polled 74,684 votes.

Ahsan expressed gratitude to voters and sought cooperation for development initiatives, including infrastructure in char areas, improvement of educational institutions and enhancement of healthcare services. In Barishal-5 (Sadar and Mahanagar), Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar secured his fifth term as Member of Parliament from Barishal-5 with 135,146 votes. His nearest rival, Mufti Faizul Karim of Islami Andolon Bangladesh, received 95,044 votes. Sarwar thanked the electorate and pledged to focus on urban development, employment creation and improved civic services, promising to fulfill his campaign commitments.

In Barishal-6 (Bakerganj), Abul Hossain Khan, district BNP convener, won the seat with 82,217 votes. His closest rival, Md. Mahmudunnabi of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, secured 55,988 votes. Khan said the support of the people of Bakerganj increased his sense of responsibility and vowed to work for the development of underprivileged communities, particularly in agriculture and fisheries. Returning Officer Khairul Alam Sumon said that the elections were completed peacefully, without major untoward incidents, and that voting was conducted in a fair and orderly environment across the district. The BNP's clean sweep in Barishal marks a significant political development in the district's electoral landscape.
