Anti-Government Propaganda Will Ultimately Fail: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Prime Minister's Political Adviser Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today said collective efforts to spread propaganda against the government and obstruct its activities will ultimately fail.

He said, "If a book containing the statistics and details of the government's activities and dedication to the people were compiled, it would serve as a document in everyone's hands. People would come to know about the efforts of those who are spreading propaganda, confusion and falsehoods against the government's good work."

Rizvi made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the unveiling ceremony of the book 'Five Months of Development Journey of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman,' edited by Rotarian M Nazmul Hasan.

The event was organized by the Bangladesh Youth Forum at the Dhaka Reporters Unity club auditorium.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Md Abdus Salam was present as the key speaker. 

Adviser to the Bangladesh Youth Forum Rotarian M Nazmul Hasan presided over the event and President of the Bangladesh Youth Forum Mohammad Saidur Rahman moderated it.

BNP veteran leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the book provides a detailed account of the initiatives taken and being implemented over the past five months of the government led by Tarique Rahman, aimed at expanding public welfare, public interest and the social safety net.

Referring to the book, he said reading it would give an idea about the various initiatives of the government, adding, 'From the pages I have flipped through, that is what it seems like."

Rizvi further said the author is inspiring the public through his book and motivating those who are working. He believes the author will write more such books in the future.

In his remarks, DSCC Administrator Md Abdus Salam said, "The book mentions various activities of the government over the past five months. I believe the general people will get an indication of the current government's goals, objectives, and various positive directions and natures."
