DU’s Mohsin Hall champion in 13th National Science Debate Festival

Dhaka University Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall became the champion in the 13th National Science Debate Festival.Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal was present as the chief negotiator and handed over the prizes to the winners on Saturday evening in the Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall premises. Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar was virtually connected as the chief guest at the event. Dhaka University Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall Debating Club organizes this festival.

President of Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall Debating Club Ashikur Rahman presided over the ceremony, the principal Professor Dr. Shah Md. Masum, Chief Operating Officer of Transan Bangladesh Ltd. Shyamal Kumar Saha, moderator of the debating club Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shamsur Rahman and Dr. Mohammad Abdul Qadir and Dhaka University Debating Society President Sheikh Md. Armaan and General Secretary Maqsuda Akhtar Tama spoke as special guests.

Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar thanked the organizers for organizing this debate festival based on climate change, agriculture and science. The practice of debate can make an important contribution to the development and dissemination of agriculture, science and technology and combating climate change. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal expressed his sincere thanks to those involved in organizing the festival and congratulated the participants. He expressed optimism that the young generation of students will play an important role in the change and development of the country and society through the practice of debate.

It is to be noted that “The love of a world floats in the agony of salt water, the love of a world floats in a distant wilderness, and the call of life is awakened again” – the “Thirteenth National Science Debate Festival-2022” was held in a parliamentary manner at inter-school, inter-college and inter-university level from 21st to 24th September last.
