Jagannath University authority is planning to provide a part-time job system for the students to ensure financial support and to realise the nature and importance of professionalism in their educational life.

Such practice is prevailing in other countries, so the part-time job facility would help the financially insolvent students in managing their educational expenditure, Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Imdadul Haque while exchanging floral greetings with 60 recommended students of JnU in the 39th batch of Sub-Inspectors of Police at the VC office yesterday (September 26) in the capital.

“Students can do part-time jobs according to hours like in other countries because there are many students who don’t get tuition and their financial condition is unstable. If they get the opportunity of part-time jobs, then at least they will manage their educational expenditures”, also mentioned the VC.t

The Vice-Chancellor further added that we have a manpower crisis in our central library. If hourly part-time jobs can be arranged part-time jobs, students will be benefited and we have a plan to create this opportunity in the university.

At that time, the students who were recommended as sub-inspectors said that we all had completed our studies in the open library of the university. University has created this opportunity for us. All will be benefited if facilities like open library are provided in Central Library for future junior students.
