A total of eight students from different faculties of the Islamic University in Kushtia have been selected primarily for the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal-2019 by the University Grants Commission for their outstanding academic results in bachelor and honors examinations.
The UGC recently published the names of students from different universities of the country selected for the medal on its own website.
The eight students of IU selected for the medal are- Toha Toriq of the Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department, Rayhan Ali of the Arabic Language and Literature department, Md. Mijanur Rahman of the Economics department, Rubaiya Yeasmin of the Law department, Md. Firoz Khan of the Finance and Banking department, Supti Chakraborty of the Statistics department, Selim Reza Jibon of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department and Muntaha Binte Mokhles of the Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering department.
Every year the UGC honors meritorious students with the PM’s gold medal from different public universities across the country to encourage them to achieve excellent results by focusing more on their studies.
