Valedictory ceremony of freedom fighters held at Averroes International School

Averroes International School, Uttara held its annual sports competition and valedictory function for freedom fighters. The event was chaired by Managing Director and Principal Md. Anisur Rahman Sohag and Founder Chairman of Averroes International School Khan Mohammad Aktaruzzaman was present as the chief guest. Special guests included Mahesh Srivastava, Regional Director, South Asia, Cambridge Assessment International Education, and Md. Afsar Uddin Khan, Councilor, Dhaka North City Corporation Ward No.

At the event organized by Averroes International School, the chief guest, special guest, other guests, and the president were welcomed by the students with flower bouquets. The program began with the hoisting of the national and school flags accompanied by the national anthem. There were parades and sports competitions by the students, followed by a display showcasing the natural beauty, history, tradition, and cultural identity of Bangladesh, participated by around 400 students. The guests inaugurated the program by blowing balloons.

The elementary section of the Uttara branch organized a sports day event where students participated in a march past, sports competitions, and dress-up challenges. The chief guest emphasized the importance of co-curricular activities, creativity, and character development. He also highlighted the contributions of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and freedom fighters in the liberation war of 1971.

During the president’s speech, the principal of Averroes International School congratulated the students and urged them to become good people and patriots. He highlighted the 10,000 hours theory and urged the students to read more books, participate in cultural arenas and sports, and get good results in exams. In the second half of the program, Averroes International School Uttara Branch extended felicitations and felicitations to soldiers and brave freedom fighters of the 23 liberation war battlefields and highlighted the contribution of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and freedom fighters in the great liberation war of 1971.
