Woman killed in Bogura road accident

A woman was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Shibpur area under Adamdighi upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Asma Bibi, 30, wife of Tuku, resident of Kakail village under Gabtali upazila of the district.

The accident occurred when they were going to Bogura town on a CNG-run auto rickshaw, on the way, the CNG hit a standing trolley around 12.15pm in the area this afternoon, leaving three injured including the CNG driver, officer-in-charge (OC) of Adamdighi Police Station Rajesh Kumar Chakraborty said.

The injured were taken to Adamdighi Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Later, the two others injured were shifted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital for better treatment, he said.

Legal action is under process in this regard, he added.
