Members of RAB-11, CPSC Narsingdi arrested a terrorist Md. Habibur Rahman alias Habi, 40, along with arms and bullets on the basis of secret information.
He was arrested from Ghoradia (Gabatli Green Road) area of Chinishpur Union in Narsingdi Sadar Upazila on Saturday morning. A locally made pipe-gun, four rounds of shotgun cartridges, a mobile phone and two SIM cards were recovered from him.
The arrested is the son of Shamser Ali of Baluakandi Village under Banshgari Union in Raipura Upazila of the district. He has a total of seven cases filed against him with Raipura Police Station.
Camp Commander of RAB-11, CPSC Narsingdi, Additional Superintendent of Police Khandkar Md Shamim Hossain said in a press release that Md Habibur Rahman Habi is a notorious terrorist. He led a fierce battle in Banshgari Char area of Raipura Upazila. He had been instilling fear in the public by supplying arms and explosives to others. As a result, he was arrested.
