Kishoreganj UNO Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui A symbol of trust for distressed people

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Noor-e-Alam Siddiqi has become a symbol of trust for the distressed people of Kishoreganj Upazila in the district through his service-oriented work.

He is working relentlessly at the field level with the zeal to deliver government services to the helpless and needy people. He is delivering all kinds of administrative services to the doorsteps of the poor people, including the implementation of all government facilities and decisions. Even beyond his service hours, UNO Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui is running day and night to keep the common people well.

He joined Kishoreganj Upazila on February 13, 2022. Since joining, he has won the hearts the local people by using his honesty, talent and intelligence through tireless work. Common people who are helpless and working can fearlessly talk about their problems by coming to the upazila administration office. The downtrodden, oppressed, helpless and poor people of the society including beggars and residents of Ashrayan projects can fearlessly voice their unspoken issues and he patiently listens and resolves them. UNO Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui runs endlessly to the helpless poor families of nine unions in the upazila.

On the occasion of Mujib Birth Centenary, he went to the unions to monitor whether the gift houses given by the Prime Minister for the poor landless people are working according to the government policies. A total of 582 landless families in the upazila have built semi-pucca houses with two hundred plots of land. He discussed all matters with the upazila parishad chairman and the chairmen of the concerned union parishad. Not only that, according to the instructions of the Prime Minister, he encouraged the planting of vegetables, various fruits and forest trees so that an inch of land is not wasted.

He has launched an online learning system at home so that students at the secondary level do not lag behind in their studies. He has arranged to cover education scholarship, old age allowance, widow allowance, disability allowance and other benefits under hundred percent management. So far, a total of 12 beggars have been given full housing in the upazila. Each of the beggars got shop with a fund of Tk 50,000. He is supervising each shop regularly.

His attention to sports is not lagging behind. He has created a healthy playing environment to keep the youth away from drugs. He provides educational scholarships and other facilities to the needy poor players. He has arranged Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium at a cost of about Tk 5 crore, and the work is in progress. He has upgraded various earthen roads into paved ones and made many culverts.

He manages each upazila office in his own way. If there is any small office problem, he solves it with good strategy. He has already taken the initiative to renovate the messy Kishoreganj Bazar so that big businessmen from outside can come and do business here. There is no doubt that the government revenue sector will increase if the market improves.

He always thinks about the development of Kishoreganj Upazila as an official of the republic. He is determined to prevent child marriage, drug abuse, gambling, and woman and child repression.

In a private conversation, UNO Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui said, “I am working day and night in the field at various union and ward levels from the upazila. Various humanitarian assistance of the Prime Minister is being delivered to the helpless poor people properly. It is also necessary to see whether the public-private works are being done properly. I do these from my responsibility. Common people will get fair justice through village courts in every union and common people’s trust in village courts will be restored.”
