The 50th Summer Sports Competition ended in Savar by organizing a prize distribution ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.
In the football competition for boys, Gazirchar Akbar Mandal School and College became champion and Chakulia High School became runner-up. In the football competition for girls, Alhaj Jafar Bepari High School became champion and Savar Girls’ High School became runner-up.
In the handball competition for boys, Morning Glory School and College became champion and Alhaj Akbar Bepari High School became runner-up.
In the Kabaddi competition for boys, Alhaj Jafar Bepari High School became champion and Nayarhat Gana Bidyapith High School became runner-up. In the Kabaddi competition for girls, Alhaj Jafar Bepari High School became champion and Nayarhat Gana Bidyapith High School became runner-up.
Besides, prizes were distributed among the swimming competition winners. In the Kerat competition for the students of different madrasas in the upazila, Arafat Hossain of Ashulia Hazera Khatun Dakhil Madrasa became first.
Savar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mazharul Islam was the chief guest at the event while Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shahidul Haque chaired it and Upazila Vice-Chairman Yasmin Akhter Sumi was the special guest. Besides, the heads of different educational institutions of the upazila were also present.
