“There was no visible development during the previous government. In the last fourteen and a half years, there has been visible development only during the tenure of the Awami League.
The government has promised to carry out the ‘Gaibandha Development Scheme’ for the district, which is already awaiting approval.
If this project is implemented, there will be no unpaved roads and development will be observed in all areas,” said Jatiyo Sangsad Whip and Member of Parliament for Gaibandha-2 Constituency Mahabub Ara Begum Gini in response to questions from journalists after laying the foundation of a 15-meter bridge construction work on the Thakur Dighi Bazar Road from Kholahati UP Office of Gaibandha Sadar Upazila on Monday afternoon.
“Bangladesh Awami League is a well-organized party. No domestic or foreign conspiracy will be able to harm this party.

Engineer Bablu Mia, General Secretary of Sadar Upazila Awami League Mridul Mostafiz Jhantu, former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League Gaibandha District unit Tahmidur Rahman Siju, and leaders of Awami League and its front organizations were present during the foundation laying ceremony.
Later, Whip Gini laid the foundation stone of a 20-meter bridge construction work on the Laxmipur-Dariapur Road of Laxmipur Union in Gaibandha Sadar Upazila. The cost of the two bridges will be about Tk 4 crore.
