BU welcomes newcomers with celebration

Barishal University (BU), one of the best educational institutions in South Bengal, was built near the bank of the Kirtankhola River. A dream campus of thousands of students, a place of desire and passion. After being admitted here, everyone starts drawing various dreams and plans in their minds about the dream campus. Similarly, there are many plans about how to spend the first day on campus and what to do.

The seniors prepare how to receive the freshers. BU’s new batch this year is the 11th batch. Visiting the campus, it was seen that new students start entering in the early morning. Many new students were also seen with their parents. Besides, the senior students of the campus have come in formal dresses. Orientation classes were organized separately in each department of BU yesterday, Wednesday (February 1). On this day, the teachers welcome the new students by gifting them tuberose and roses. At this time, the teachers discussed various introductory topics of the university. They urged the freshers to follow all the rules of the university.

Seniors were also seen getting acquainted with the newcomers. How is the first day of campus? Asked Rana, a student in the economics department. He expressed his feelings and said, “I am very excited about today’s orientation class. I love our green campus. Though, I was tense at first that how would be our teachers, seniors, and classmates. But after coming here I found them very nice and helpful – I liked them very much. I am impressed with their gesture and posture.”

Abdur Rahman, another new student of the sociology department hailed from Satkhira said, “It was one of my best days. The senior students of the department welcomed us very warmly on this campus. The guidance and suggestions of the teachers will help us to operate the university life in the future.”

Taking pictures and videos of them around the university’s Muktomoncho was going on from morning till evening. Some are taking pictures, some are sitting on the grass for a long chat or wandering around the campus. They were cheerful all day. Shakil, a student in the public administration department, said, “I only heard about this day before, but today it has come true. Today I delight in the friendly behavior of the brothers, the teachers, and the charming atmosphere of the university. We are very happy to enter the university premises today.

Today the first day of the university will be remembered as the best day.” Noor Mohammad, a 4th-year student of the marketing department, said we welcome those who have come to the campus for the first time. The green campus has echoed again with freshers, it seems that a get-together with the newcomers has been arranged.
