Adiba Azam Mati, student of Dhaka Commerce College became the first over all the students to write creative work competition organized by Department of Secondary and Higher Education. On Great Victory Day of 2022, Mati won the award of excellence in the country college level students’ pledge writing competition titled ‘Transformation in Education-Our Victory’.
On May 22, 2023, ‘Bijoy Utshob’ was held at International Mother Language Institute Auditorium based on national days organized by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education. The Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni distributed award as chief guest. Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Education Board Senior Secretary of Technical and Madrasha Kamal Hossain and Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department of Education Ministry Soleiman Khan was the special guest of event.
Director of Secondary and Higher Education (College and Administration) Prof. Md. Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury presided over the event. Principals, Teachers and officials of various colleges were present at the prize distribution ceremony. Adiba Azam Mati spoke on behalf of the winning students on that occasion.
Adiba Azam Mati is very talented and socio-cultural activist. She is an actress, model and organizer who played a role in Bangladeshi famous TV show ‘Ittadi’ on BTV this year Eid special program. Mati acted over twenty music videos and dramas aired on various channels.
She participated in the Training Workshop 2021 on ‘Short Film Production Techniques’ organized by the Liberation War Museum. She won the best college student award at police station level in National Education Week 2022. Mati became champion in Dhaka Commerce College Cultural Competition 2022. Matialready won 47 awards in many cultural competitions and 17 in sports competitions from various institutions. She got GPA 5 from Dhaka Commerce College in 2022 HSC examination.
