After the Eid holidays, all the educational institutions of the country have opened today. Classes have started in primary and secondary schools since Sunday morning.
There is a risk of Aedes mosquito breeding in educational institutions that have been closed for two weeks. Therefore, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSHI) has given five instructions to all educational institutions to prevent dengue.
The instructions are-
1. Playgrounds and buildings should be kept clean regularly.
2. Water accumulated in the field or building should be removed quickly.
3. Flower tubs kept in educational institutions for beautification should be kept clean regularly.
4. It should be ensured that water does not accumulate in the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes.
5. All students should be informed about Dengue prevention measures by concerned authorities/teachers.
