BD origin Kapotaqkhy Chanchala crowned ‘Miss Pakistan’

Kapotaqkhy Chanchala Dhara of Bangladeshi origin won the ‘Miss Pakistan Universal 2023’ crown. She is the daughter of Pakistani expatriate Monir Ahmed, who was a resident of the Madhyamik Balika Vidyalaya area of Kotchandpur City in Jhenaidah.

Pakistan’s Geo TV reported that the names of the winners were announced at a grand ceremony at the luxurious Grand Palm Hotel in Lahore, Pakistan on May 31. Kapotaqkhy Chanchala Dhara was the only contestant of Bangladeshi origin in the competition.

The report also states that Canada-based Miss Pakistan World organized the pageant. The organization organizes competitions in various categories.

This year, Miss Pakistan Global was won by Warda Muneeb Rao, Miss Trans Pakistan was won by Alina Khan, Miss Pakistan World was won by Shafina Shah (UK), Miss Pakistan Universe was won by Binish George and Fatima Fakhar crowned the Mrs. Pakistan World tiara.

Miss Pakistan Universal Kapotaqkhy Chanchala Dhara came from the medical profession to the stage of the media world. In the beginning, she was uncertain about her career. However, her father’s support has given her a lot of progress. “2022 Miss Pakistan Universal Dr. Shafaq Akhtar was her inspiration,” said Kapotaqkhy.

Kapotaqkhy Chanchala Dhara graduated from the famous Aga Khan University. Currently, she is working at Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi.

Kapotaqkhy Chanchala Dhara was born and brought up in a Muslim family in Karachi. After the untimely death of her mother, she grew up under the care of her father. Kapotaqkhy dreamt of becoming a skilled neurosurgeon along with having a reputation in the entertainment industry.

Kapotaqkhy Chanchala Dhara’s father Monir Ahmed is a journalist by profession. He was the news editor of The Daily News, Karachi. He also worked at BBC. He was a journalist for Deutsche Welle (DW) from 2002 to 2007. Currently, Monir Ahmed is teaching at Karachi University. Monir Ahmed went to Karachi, Pakistan to study in 1970. Later, he stayed there.
