Award-winning artist Fazlur Rahman Babu and physician and public health expert Dr Rokeya Akhter Annie echoed the upcoming health and cleanliness initiatives of the Directorate of Public Health and Engineering.

After the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the song and a demonstration video will be screened to raise awareness about the benefits of hand hygiene, which plays an important role in preventing disease transmission.

This effort by the Department of Public Health Engineering aims to spread a correct and strong message on the importance of hand washing and hygiene. It is to promote universal appeal of music and to educate the masses in creating a popular habit among the masses.

The Noakhali District Executive Engineer, who is spearheading the initiative, said, “Integrating the medical knowledge of Dr Rokeya Akhtar Annie with the artistic influence of Fazlur Rahman Babu will create an interesting and educational message that we believe our viewers and listeners will be deeply moved by.”

He also said, in the field of public health in Bangladesh. Annie’s involvement with the other artist will enhance the educational aspect of the campaign, providing scientifically-backed information as directed and demonstrated by the World Health Organization, and demonstrating hand-washing techniques in a way that is effective and easy to follow.

The video will show how small and effective practices such as hand washing can have dire consequences if neglected. As a result, the work described about warning the public will play a role.

“It is a privilege to work with Fazlur Rahman Babu on this important initiative. Our aim is to combine scientific data with cultural elements to promote healthy behavior across the community,” said Dr Rokeya Akhtar Annie.

Singer and theater personality Fazlur Rahman Babu said about such a unique religious work for public awareness.

The author of the song, Executive Engineer of Noakhali District, said, “I believe that these initiatives to build a smart Bangladesh will accelerate the activities related to hand washing, hygiene and WASH (Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene) and will develop the mentality of leading the sector among the youth and students.

The song is composed by Anupam Halder, music directed by Dipu Aslam and video directed by Md Sirajul Islam Siraj.
