Huge VoIP equipments seized by RAB in Ctg

RAB-7 conducted a raid at Halishahar area in the city and seized huge VoIP equipments early today. The seized items include- SIM boxes, routers, switches, power adapters, UPS, battery, and other accessories, along with 251 SIM cards from different operators. The operation was based on secret information about an illegal VoIP business running in a flat in Halishahar residential area.

The raid took place at 2:30 am with technical assistance from BTRC and NTMC. The team found a locked rented house on the sixth floor of House no-24, which was later unlocked in the presence of witnesses and seized the VoIP components. RAB said the accused, Ziabul Haque, was running the illegal VoIP business for a long time, causing a significant loss of government revenue. The recovered items were handed over to Halishahar thana for further action.
