Riyadh – On the occasion of the great Independence and National Day of Bangladesh, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Riyadh organized a reception on Tuesday 5 March evening at the Cultural Center located in the Diplomatic Quarter. The Deputy Governor of Riyadh was present as the chief guest Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz Al Sudairi. Abdul Majid bin Rashid Al Samari, Deputy Minister of Protocol Department of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Saudi Bangladesh Parliamentary Friendship Committee Chairman Khaled Mohammad Al Bawardi along with Shura Council members. Also, senior officials and chamber representatives of various ministries of Saudi Arabia and ambassadors and diplomats of various missions in Riyadh, doctors, engineers, teachers, businessmen of Bangladesh community and more than hundreds of immigrants of various professions.

Through nine months long armed struggle under the leadership of Bangabandhu, we got the independent state of Bangladesh. Delta Plan has already been adopted to create a developed Bangladesh. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, work is underway to become a developed and smart Bangladesh by 2041. The King and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister for the employment of Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia. He reiterated Bangladesh’s support for peace and stability in Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh government’s solidarity with the fraternal people. As the Great Independence Day falls in the holy month of Ramadan this year, this reception was organized yesterday. On the occasion of the great independence and national day, the ambassador cut the cake with the guests, performed various crafts and charming party dances to introduce the culture of Bangladesh.
