Minu hopes BNP candidates will win a landslide victory

Mizanur Rahman Minu, candidate for Rajshahi-2 (Sadar), and BNP leader, said that victory and defeat are determined by the will of Almighty Allah. "We can hope that in all 39 constituencies of Rajshahi Division, BNP candidates will win an absolute victory by a huge margin, and our party chairman Tarique Rahman will become the Prime Minister," he stated. He made these remarks to journalists after casting his vote at 8:00 am on Thursday (February 12) at the Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute polling center in the city.

He expressed optimism that BNP-nominated candidates, contesting with the party's electoral symbol 'Sheaf of Paddy,' would win in all 39 parliamentary constituencies of Rajshahi Division. He said that Tarique Rahman would not be a ruler but a servant of the people. "He will show the whole world how a country can overcome difficult times and embark on the path of democracy. Martyred President Ziaur Rahman worked for the welfare of the people of this country. Tarique Rahman will also establish himself as a servant of the people," he added.

The BNP leader expressed satisfaction over what he described as a peaceful voting environment. "The voting atmosphere is peaceful. In this country, votes are cast during the day but counted at night, and governments are formed without votes. That will not happen this time. I hope the people will be able to elect their representatives according to their will," he said. Minu further said that people want peace and employment. "Insha'Allah, if the BNP forms the government, we will work for the people of this country. We will begin creating large-scale employment opportunities to meet the expectations of the people of Rajshahi," he added.

At the time, BNP Central Committee's Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary and former city mayor Mohammad Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, along with other party leaders and activists, were present with Mizanur Rahman Minu.
