CU’s 24-day Eid vacation begins from April 17

A 24-day summer and Eid-ul-Fitr vacation will begin at Chattogram University (CU) from April 17. The vacation will continue till May 10 and the academic activities of the university will resume on May 11, said a press release of CU signed by its Deputy Registrar SM Akbar Hossain on Monday.

Meanwhile, classes and offices of the CU will be closed on April 14 on the occasion of the first day of Bengali New Year. As April 15 and 16 are weekly holidays, the university is going on a long 28-day holiday including those days, university sources added.

University sources said that the residential halls will remain open during the vacation. Classes and examinations of the CU will remain suspended during this period on the occasion of Eid-u-Fitr, Shab-e-Qadr and May Day. CU Acting Registrar SM Manirul Hasan told journalists that the administrative activities will continue during the vacation.
