Awami League joint general secretary and information minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said, Awami League wants to play with BNP in elections. But BNP ran away from the election again and again.
He came up with this comment during an exchange of views with journalists on contemporary issues at the meeting room of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday.
Regarding the participation of all parties in the election, the Awami League joint general secretary said that the Prime Minister expected to have a beautiful election like the British election. She welcomed all the observers of the world.
He also said that BNP wants to resist the election when the plan for a good election is going on. A plan to resist elections means to resist democracy. BNP basically does not want democracy. However, BNP does not have the courage to stop the election. They (BNP) want a system that takes them directly in power. However, neither the Election Commission nor the people of the country can do that. As in the developed world, there will be an acceptable selection in Bangladesh.
Hasan Mahmud also said that we definitely want all political parties including BNP to participate in the elections. We do not want BNP to run away like in the past.
