RAB arrests 3, seized 31 kg hemp, pickup-van

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-4 in two separate drives arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 31 kg of hemp from Polashbari and Shreepur area of Ashulia on Sunday last. During the drive, the RAB forces also seized a pickup-van, which was used in their drug supply works.

The arrested were identified as Tawsar Ahmed, 17, of Cumilla, Hafizur Rahman, 26, of Sirajganj and Jahangir Alam, 56, of Jamalpur.

RAB sources said the arrested had been running their illegal business in the area for a long deceiving the law enforcers. The arrested were also handed over to the police and two separate cases were lodged with the respective police station in those connections.
