The incumbent government has undertaken time-befitting approaches to tackle noise, air, and water pollution for ensuring the physical and mental health of mass people, says Dr. Farhina Ahmed

Dr. Farhina Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has underscored the need for raising mass awareness of noise pollution in a bid to ensure physical and mental health.
Noise pollution sound pollution is a silent deadly weapon, destroying our mental and physical strength every day. Only lodging cases is not enough to tackle noise pollution, public awareness is a must in this connection”, said the Secretary while giving an exclusive interview to the Daily Tribunal at his Secretariat Office in the capital on Wednesday.
The noise pollution became an unbearable level in the country, exposing an adverse effect on human health and the environment, he said adding that the Department of Environment has started implementing an “Integrated and Partnership Project on Noise Pollution Control” to control noise pollution.
The incumbent government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has undertaken holistic approaches to control noise pollution. As part of the government initiative, different implementing agencies including the Department of Environment, Bangladesh Police, City Corporation, and BRTA have undertaken time-befitting approaches to prevent noise pollution.
Alongside the Department of Environment (DoE) and other government agencies concerned to go for massive awareness program against sound pollution across the country, said the secretary.
As the unbearable level of noise has an advhurtslth and the environment, the government is working to control the pollution on a priority basis, she mentioned.
Resistance and Cure may go side by side which may strengthen our mental state and physical vigor, said the secretary.
“The ruling government is focusing to protect biological diversity and the authority enabled to increase the ability to preserve the environment at least succeeded in line of increasing awareness against sound pollution along with air and water contamination”, she added.
She urged all concerned people to change habits and culture aiming to keep up the rights of the mass people. In response to a quarry, the Secretary said we will change the existing environment preservation rules so that they can be matched with the rules and regulations of the other countries.
Recalling the environment that existed in the past, Dr. Farhina Ahmed said the incumbent government has already taken steps to embolden the environment shunning the continued deterioration of the environment.
In these cases, the government achieved the importance of increasing awareness against sound pollution which helped all to follow the guidance of the government.
On air and water pollution, the Environment, Forest & Climate Change secretary said, these two are the other important ingredients to the health of mass people which can save lives effectively if the two are purified at any cost.
Both pure water and air are a must to save a valuable life. In this context, Dr. Farhina Ahmed said, increasing awareness is the only weapon that makes the government and mass people safe, so all of us give importance to creating awareness against pollution.
D.r Farhina Ahmed said that the government prioritized controlling noise pollution and mobile courts are being conducted for proper enforcement of the law.
Finally, she urged all people to raise their awareness to save nature for ensuring a healthy society. In recent years, noise, air, and water pollution became a concern of the policymaker.
Apart from the government initiative, we all have to work together to tackle all kinds of pollution whether it is noise, air or water”, added the Secretary.
