The prize distribution ceremony of the three-day 22nd Square Cup Golf Tournament-2024 was held on Friday (16-2-2024) at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka Cantonment. Lt. Gen. Mizanur Rahman Shamim, BP, OSP, BAM, NDC, PSC, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Department attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the winners.
A total of 600 golfers including local/foreign players participated in this three-day tournament. The tournament saw Mohammad Rafi winner, Tauseef Iqbal Siddiqui runner up and Mrs. Lee Yong Kyung ladies winner.
The closing and awarding ceremony was attended by senior military officers, sponsors, members of Kurmitola Golf Club, other dignitaries, sportspersons and media persons. The chief guest on the occasion expressed hope that organizing such a competition would play an important role in the development of the country’s golf arena and thanked all concerned for this initiative.
