West Indies have bolstered their spin department by calling up left-arm spinner Akeal Hossain as they take on Bangladesh in the second game of three-match series tomorrow (Tuesday) in a bid to level the series. West Indies lost the first game by 74 runs after being tormented by the Bangladesh spinners who took eight out of 10 wickets with legspinner Rishad Hossain along taking 6-35.

The Caribbean spinners also played their part well with left-arm spinner Khary Pierre coming up with a brilliant bowling display picking 1 for 19 in his 10 overs while offspinner Roston Chase picked two wickets for the tourists. Primarily a T20 specialist Akeal's inclusion is seen as West Indies' desperate move to win the series. In addition, left-arm pacer Ramon Simmonds has earned his maiden ODI call-up. The 24-year-old pacer has previously represented the West Indies in two T20 internationals. Meanwhile, Jedaiah Blades and Shamar Joseph, who were part of the ODI squad, will return to the Caribbean.
