6 families get tin, cheques in Kachua
Under the humanitarian assistance programme of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, corrugated iron sheets and cheques for financial assistance have been distributed to 6 families affected by natural disasters, extremely poor and helpless in Kachua Upazila of the district for the reconstruction of their houses.
On Wednesday morning, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Muhammad Helal Chowdhury distributed two bundles of corrugated iron sheets and a cheque of Tk 6,000 to each of the helpless families on the Upazila Parishad premises on behalf of the upazila administration.
Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md Rakibul Islam, Public Health Assistant Engineer Md Kamruzzaman, Kachua Press Club President Md Ataul Karim, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Sarfin Hossain, and officials and employees of various upazila departments and beneficiaries were present at that time.
