Road safety meeting around Eid held in Magura

Organized by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Magura Circle, the District Road Safety Committee held a meeting around Eid-ul-Azha at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room on Wednesday morning.

Magura Deputy Commissioner Md Ohidul Islam chaired the meeting, while Magura BRT Assistant Director Md Mainul Islam moderated it.

The meeting emphasized on the importance of road renovation to ensure smooth Eid-ul-Azha celebrations, stopping the collection of additional fares to ensure smooth movement of passengers, stopping the movement of defective motor vehicles, special police operations, operating mobile courts, strengthening police patrols, ensuring compliance with motor vehicle speed limit guidelines, etc.

Additional District Magistrate Shaswati Shil, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kader, Magura Press Club President Professor Sayedur Rahman, District Livestock Officer Dr Mihir Kanti Biswas, Magura Civil Surgeon’s Office Health Education Officer Zillur Rahman, police, businessmen, transport workers’ representatives, BSCIC Magura District Office Deputy Manager Arjun Kumar Biswas, and district-level officials were also present. Later, a seminar was held on the issue of law awareness and implementation for the protection of district consumer rights and a meeting on salt and leather chaired by Deputy Commissioner Md Ohidul Islam was also held.
