Farmers get paddy seeds, fertilizer in Bhurungamari

Under the agricultural incentive programme, 2,450 farmers received transplanted Aman paddy seeds and fertilizer in Bhurungamari Upazila of the district.
On Wednesday morning, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Golam Ferdous inaugurated the distribution of paddy seeds and fertilizer on the Upazila Agriculture Office premises. At that time, Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Abdul Jabbar, Upazila Engineer Insaful Haque Sarkar, Agricultural Extension Officer Agriculturist Sarwar Touhid, Bhurungamari Press Club President Anwarul Haque and others were present.
It is to be noted that these materials were provided to small and marginal farmers in the 2024-2025 financial year under the agricultural incentive programme to increase the cultivation and production of Aman crops. Each of the 2,450 farmers in 10 unions of the upazila was distributed 5 kg of paddy seeds, 10 kg of MOP and 10 kg of DAP fertilizer free of charge.
