Meeting on Sreemangal Municipality’s 2024-25 FY budget held

Organized by the NGO MAC Bangladesh, a review meeting on the progress of Sreemangal Municipality’s 2024-2025 fiscal year budget implementation was held at the Sreemangal Mohsin Auditorium conference room on Wednesday morning.

MAC Bangladesh Executive Director SA Hamid chaired the programme, while Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Municipality Administrator Md Islam Uddin was present as the chief guest, and Municipality Executive Engineer Md Zahirul Islam was the special guest. MAC Bangladesh Chief Coordinator Md Arman Khan, Idea Project Manager Pankaj Ghosh Dastidar, Sreemangal Municipality Social Development Officer Azizul Haque, among others, participated in the open discussion. Municipality Executive Engineer Md Zahirul Islam shed light on the budget of the last fiscal year and the next budget in detail.

Incidentally, this review meeting was held to strengthen the engagement and active participation of civil society in achieving Sustainable Development Goal-6 (SDG-6). About 40 people, including municipality officials, NGO representatives, women’s organization leaders, journalists, and representatives of various classes and professions, participated in the meeting.
