International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman finished in 41st place in the Masters Event of the 32nd Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival that concluded on Monday last in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Fahad secured five points from nine games and was tied on points for 32nd place. However, according to the tie-break criteria, he finished 41st overall.

In the ninth and final round, IM Fahad Rahman drew his game against Pasham Alizada.

Earlier, in the previous round, he defeated Syria's FIDE Master Rami Talib.

Uzbekistan's Grandmaster Jakhongir Vakhidov won the title of the event with seven points.

A total of 109 players from 21 countries participated in the Masters Event, including 17 Grandmasters, five Woman Grandmasters, and 32 International Masters.
