Actress-director Mohsina Akhter ties the knot with cinematographer Irfan Uddin
Actress and theatre director Mohsina Akhter has begun a new chapter in her life, marrying cinematographer Irfan Uddin on August 21.
Irfan, who hails from Chattogram, has also acted in several theatre productions. He is set to pursue further studies in Film Production at the University of Greenwich in London.
Mohsina and Irfan are both members of Spardha: Independent Theatre Collective. Their friendship began while working together on stage and eventually blossomed into a relationship.
Speaking about her husband, Mohsina said, “Irfan is a sensitive person. The way I see people and society, he sees them in much the same way. That is why we decided to embark on this journey together.”
Mohsina gained recognition in 2017 for portraying Fatima in Syed Jamil Ahmed’s production “Rizwan”. She later appeared in theatre productions including “Jibon O Rajnoitik Bastobota”, “4.48 Mantras” and “Bismoykor Shobkichhu”.
As a director, she has helmed productions including “Shesh Rokkha”, “Waiting for Lefty”, “Indur-Bilai” and “Tobuo Jege Uthi”.
Beyond theatre, Mohsina recently appeared alongside Jaya Ahsan in Piplu R Khan’s film “Jaya Aar Sharmin”.
