The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has called up

Amite Hasan to their 15-member squad for the second and final Test against

the West Indies, replacing the injured Mominul Haque.

The BCB announced the squad in a press release on Saturday, confirming one

change from the opening Test which Bangladesh lost by eight wickets after a

sensational batting debacle at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Mominul sustained a head injury on the third day of the first Test while

fielding at short leg. He was injured while attempting to take a catch in the

78th over of the West Indies' first innings, with Jaker Ali Anik subsequently

coming in as his concussion substitute.

According to the BCB, players who suffer a concussion must remain out of

action for at least seven days before returning to the field. As a result,

Mominul will miss the second Test, paving the way for Amite's inclusion.

"The concussion rule that states that a player diagnosed with a concussion

must observe a mandatory minimum of seven calendar days away from play before

returning to the field," the BCB press release stated.

Meanwhile, Jaker Ali has retained his place in the 15-member squad after

featuring as Mominul's concussion replacement in the first Test.

The second and final Test of the series is scheduled to begin on November 5

at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Squad:

Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Shadman Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Tawhid

Hridoy, Litton Das, Jaker Ali Anik, Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Vice Captain), Nayeem

Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, Taijul Islam, Shoriful Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Taskin

Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury and Amite Hasan.
