Shuvendu Das Shuvo and Autumnal Moon release new track
Mirza Fakhrul sworn in as 23rd presidentA song that began its journey in 2002 has finally been released, as brothers Shuvendu Das Shuvo and Autumnal Moon bring their long-awaited track “Tomake Dekha Mane” to listeners.
Written, composed and sung by Autumnal Moon, the song was recorded in 2016 but remained unreleased for nearly a decade. Shuvendu Das Shuvo contributed to the music co-production and played the nylon guitar, while Autumnal Moon played the steel-string guitar.
“The composition of ‘Tomake Dekha Mane’ dates back to 2002. Twelve years later, in 2016, we finally recorded the song. It stayed with us all these years—a little piece of another time, carrying memories, emotions, and a feeling that never really grew old,” said Shuvendu.
Reflecting on the song's personal significance, he said, “The song was written, composed and sung by my elder brother, Autumnal Moon. For us, this is more than just a song. It is a memory of a particular time in our lives, preserved in melody and words.”
The song centres on the simplicity and intimacy of love. Its lyrics explore how seeing someone can feel like the fulfilment of a cherished wish, while thinking about them can gradually become a habit. Expressing love, meanwhile, is portrayed as a familiar gesture, while wanting and daring to touch someone require different kinds of courage.
The track was mixed and mastered by Ifte Khairul Alam Shubho, with video production by Saeef Hossain. Though the song originated more than two decades ago, “Tomake Dekha Mane” carries the emotions and memories of a particular period in the lives of the two brothers.
“Time has changed. We have changed. But some feelings remain exactly the same,” Shuvendu said.
