‘Andhar’ unveils first poster, sets October release
Raihan Rafi has unveiled the first official poster of his much-anticipated horror film “Andhar”, confirming that the star-studded production will arrive in theatres this October.
The poster was shared simultaneously on social media on Thursday evening by Rafi, Siam Ahmed and several other members of the cast, following a series of character reveals that had been building anticipation around the film.
The first poster offers a glimpse into the eerie world of “Andhar”. Against a backdrop of dense black clouds and fog, five characters dressed entirely in white stand atop a towering dark structure.
Nazifa Tushi occupies the centre of the composition, with an unusual halo of light forming across the sky behind her. Siam Ahmed and Chanchal Chowdhury appear on either side, alongside two other characters. While all five are dressed similarly, their expressions and postures differ, leaving questions about their characters and the significance of the matching attire.
The ominous clouds, thick mist and stark illumination further hint at the horror and mystery surrounding the story, although Rafi has yet to reveal what connects the five characters.
The poster also confirms that “Andhar” is slated for release in October 2026. Ahead of the reveal, Rafi had been gradually introducing characters from the film through a series of unofficial first looks.
Produced by 221B Films, “Andhar” stars Siam Ahmed, Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, Mostafa Monwar and Faruk Rehan, among others.
According to the credits featured on the poster, Shakib Chowdhury, Saidus Salehin Sumon, popularly known as Bassbaba Sumon, and Adnan Adib Khan are associated with the film’s story.
The big-budget horror film has generated considerable curiosity since its announcement, with the newly released poster offering audiences their first collective glimpse at the characters and the unsettling world Rafi has built around them.
