Bari urges BNP candidates, supporters to unite for UP polls
State Minister for Public Administration and Food Abdul Bari today said BNP candidates and supporters must work together to mobilize people in the upcoming Union Parishad elections, putting aside internal differences to strengthen the party organisation and stand by the people.
"Local government elections are crucial for protecting people’s rights. The BNP candidates and supporters must work together in the upcoming Union Parishad elections. Our main goal is to put aside all differences, further strengthen the party and stand beside the people,” he said.
The state minister said this at a discussion organised by Joypurhat district unit of BNP on the upcoming local government elections at the 'Esho Carnival', a local private organisation in the Madrasah Para area of Joypurhat town this afternoon.
Joypurhat district BNP Convener Golzar Hossain, Senior Joint Convener Masud Rana Pradhan and Joint Convener MA Wahab were present and spoke at the programme.
Leaders and activists of Joypurhat district BNP and its various affiliated organisations attended the meeting.
The speakers discussed in detail the party’s strategy and organisational preparations on upcoming Union Parishad elections.
