Death Grant Provided to Heirs of Deceased Cleaners under DSCC Initiative
Under the initiative of the Scavengers and Workers Union (Reg. No. 2111), affiliated with Dhaka South City Corporation, death grants were distributed among the heirs of deceased sanitation workers.
The grants were handed over by the Chief Waste Management Officer of DSCC, Air Commodore Mahabubur Rahman Talukder, who attended the program as the chief guest. He personally presented the financial assistance to the family members of the deceased workers and expressed his deep condolences.
During the event, he stated that sanitation workers play a vital role in maintaining the city’s health and environment. Their contributions are invaluable, and standing beside their families in difficult times is a moral responsibility of the city corporation.
Leaders of the union and concerned officials of DSCC were also present at the program. Through this initiative, financial support and solidarity were extended to the families of the deceased sanitation workers.
