International Master (IM) Md Minhaz Uddin of Bangladesh Navy emerged as the undefeated champion of the Manha's Castle 29th International Rating Chess Tournament held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room Thursday night. IM Minhaz secured the title with 7.5 points from nine games. FIDE Master (FM) Syed Mahfuzur Rahman of Manha's Castle also finished with 7.5 points, but IM Minhaz was declared champion on the tie-break system, while FM Mahfuzur finished as the runner-up.

FIDE Master Sheikh Nasir Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy finished third, Candidate Master Md. Masum Hossain of SSPL Sporting Club became fourth, FIDE Master Subrato Biswas of City Club finished fifth, FIDE Master Mohammad Javed of Bangladesh Navy became sixth and Candidate Master Md. Jamal Uddin of City Club became seventh with seven points each after their position was decided by tie-breaking systems. Sarwar Hossain Ullash finished eighth with 6.5 points, Candidate Master Mahtabuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy became ninth, Candidate Master Avik Sarker of 64 Square Chess Club became tenth, Md. Abu Hanif of Sadharan Bima Corporation Sporting Club became eleventh and Tashriq Saihan Shan of Bangladesh Police Chess Club became 12th. Following the conclusion of the tournament, Lokeman Hossain Mollah Lovelu, president of Manha's Castle, distributed the prizes among the winners.
