Mohammed Sinwar Killed in Gaza, Says Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Wednesday that Mohammed Sinwar, a senior Hamas leader in Gaza and one of Israel’s most wanted figures, has been killed. Mohammed, the younger brother of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, rose to a top position in the Palestinian group last year after Israel killed Yahya during the ongoing Gaza conflict. Yahya Sinwar, who orchestrated the October 2023 attack on Israel that sparked the war, was named Hamas’ overall leader after Israel killed his predecessor, Ismail Haniyeh, in Iran.
