Two-day training for environmental journalists ends in Rajshahi

A two-day training titled 'Report Preparation on Climate Change, Environmental Degradation and Environmental Human Rights Violations' has concluded today with a commitment to work together to prevent environmental disaster in Rajshahi district.

The training was held at the District Social Services Office, Rajshahi, under the ENGAGE project implemented by DASCO Foundation with funding from the European Union and NETZ Bangladesh.

Journalists and content creators participated in the training.

On the last day of the training, Abuzar, Assistant Professor of the Department of Communication and Journalism Studies at North Bengal University, gave a PowerPoint presentation on preparing environmental news.

Through group work, participants prepared and presented reports on environmental human rights violations.

Ruhul Amin, Project Coordinator of DASCO Foundation, after his session, emphasized the importance of preparing and publishing reports on environmental human rights.

At the end of the training, the journalists pledged to highlight news on climate change and environmental human rights from their professional positions.

Sessions were conducted on human rights, environmental human rights, environmental degradation and what to do to solve it, climate change, report preparation on environmental damage and human rights violations, environmental journalism issues and investigative journalism.
