Shafiqur questions those in power over vandalism at Salman Muqtadir’s studio

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Opposition Leader Shafiqur Rahman today condemned the late-night attack, vandalism and looting at content creator Salman Muqtadir’s studio, questioning whether those in power would rein in extortionists within their own ranks.

In a post on his verified Facebook page this morning, Shafiqur described Salman as a “July fighter and social media influencer” and said that extortionists had raided his studio, vandalised the premises and looted property.

“Will those in power rein in their own extortionists? One incident after another keeps taking place,” he wrote.Using a metaphor, he wrote, “Sometimes extortionists looking for honey mistake a hornet’s nest for a beehive and throw stones at it, only to have their actions backfire.”

“Yes, this will end one day, In sha Allah,” he added.
