5 measles related deaths reported in 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, five deaths were reported from confirmed and suspected measles cases across the country from 8 am Saturday, according to the latest DGHS report. In the meantime, a total of 1,166 suspected measles cases were reported. During the same period, 95 confirmed measles patients were admitted to hospitals. 

The cumulative number of suspected measles patients admitted to hospitals has reached 27,816 so far. Among the suspected measles patients, a total of 24,090 have recovered and left hospitals to date. Since March 15, a total of 244 suspected measles patients have died.
