BNP candidate Faisal Amin submits nomination for Thakurgaon-1 by-election

BNP-nominated candidate Mirza Faisal Amin today submitted his nomination paper for the by-election to Thakurgaon-1 constituency.

He submitted the nomination paper to Returning Officer and District Election Officer Md Kamrul Islam at the office of the Thakurgaon District Election Officer this noon.

Local leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organisations were present at the time.

After submitting his nomination paper, Mirza Faisal Amin said he wants to work to fulfil the expectations of the people. He sought cooperation from party leaders and activists as well as the general people in the election.

Political activities have already begun centring on the Thakurgaon-1 by-election. Candidates and their supporters have shown enthusiasm over the collection and submission of nomination papers.

On September 20, District BNP Treasurer Md Nur-e-Shahadat Swajan collected the nomination paper on behalf of Mirza Faisal Amin as the BNP candidate.

Meanwhile, Delawar Hossain has also submitted his nomination paper as the candidate of the 11-party alliance led by Jamaat-e-Islami in the constituency.

According to the Election Commission's schedule, voting in the Thakurgaon-1 by-election will be held on October 29.
