CA to Attend UNGA Inaugural Session Tomorrow


Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will join the inaugural session of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session here tomorrow morning. According to his programme schedule, he will hold a meeting with the director general of World Trade Organisation (WTO) at 10:30 am tomorrow (NY time). The chief adviser will also hold a meeting with the President of World Bank at 11 am.  A meeting between Prof Yunus and The Her Majesty Máxima, Queen of the Netherlands, will be held at 11:30 am. He will attend an event titled "Fashion for Development (F4D): 13th Annual Official First Ladies Luncheon" at 12:30 pm. The chief adviser will also join a "Meeting of Public and Private Sector Leaders on Social Innovation: Mobilizing Financing through Social Innovation" at 2:45 pm.

Kris Licht, CEO, Reckitt Benckiser, will meet Prof Yunus at 5 pm. The chief adviser will attend a reception hosted by the President of the United States and Mrs. Melania Trump at 7 pm. Prof Yunus today arrived in New York to attend the 80th UNGA session. A commercial flight of Emirates airlines carrying the Chief Adviser and his entourages landed at the John F Kennedy International Airport, New York, at 3:00 pm (NY time) today.
