China-Bangladesh Trade Conference to Kick Off on June 1

The final date for the much-anticipated ‘China-Bangladesh Conference on Investment and Trade’ has been set.
The day-long conference is set to begin on June 1 under the joint initiative of the Bangladesh and Chinese governments.
Ashik Chowdhury, the executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), revealed the information on Monday (May 26).
The conference will be attended by 250 investors and businessmen from about 100 Chinese companies, including top executives from 6-7 companies under Fortune 500. In addition, top representatives from 4 Chinese Chambers of Commerce will be present, Ashik Chowdhury said in a Facebook post.
Mentioning that this is the first time so many investors and businessmen from one country are visiting Bangladesh at the same time, BIDA chairman said, “China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao is leading the delegation.”
